On January 5th of this year, I had just started a book called Expert Secrets by Russell Brunson. And in that book, Russell talks about starting a daily 10 minute podcast and sticking to it, doing it every day, even if the timing isn't right.
He talked about his own podcast that he had started called the Marketing in youn Car podcast, where he would record every day on his way to work. He started his podcast one month after having to let go over 100 employees.
With a business on the verge of bankruptcy, with no idea how to save his business yet, he started a podcast speaking about what he was doing to rebuild his business. Then he says, just start. I'm paraphrasing a little, but no matter why you think you can't start, you actually can.
So that night, I shared this with my husband, and we both loved it. And we were so inspired by his story that we said, tomorrow we'll each start a podcast. We love that idea. And we continued reading.
And then eventually we started getting ready for bed. And as we were brushing our teeth, we were again talking about how excited we were to start our podcasts tomorrow. And I said, why not start tonight?
And here we are on episode eight of the Growth Pod, a milestone that 95% of podcasts never make it to, and one that I may have not made it to either if I had waited until tomorrow.
But because we both leaned into the momentum, both my husband and I are celebrating a huge milestone today with episode eight of each of our different podcasts. So whatever big project or big thing that you're putting off, stop, lean into your enthusiasm and just start.
